Chronology of cameras Belca

This camera was a bit challenging to identify because it bears the inscription "Welta" on its covering, even though it is not from that brand. However, the Welta and Belca brands were later merged and became part of the VEB Pentacon group.

On the covering, it is marked "Made in Germany," even though the East German state had existed for five years. This camera is well-made. A 120 film could be used in 6 x 6 or 6 x 9 formats (depending on how the film was wound). In addition to the two frame counters on the back, a button allows covering one of these counters. Another button on the top of the camera allows you to adjust the viewfinder according to the chosen format.

The lens was manufactured in Dresden (like the entire camera) and is called Bonotar. "Junior" is the name of the shutter (apparently without cocking).
